UV-B light forms gradients in plants. With this research, analysis on whether these gradients cause differential physiological functions in plant tissues will be performed. More specifically, the signal transduction of the UV-B photoreceptor UVR8, the hormonal dependence and the resulting secondary metabolites will be investigated by means of microscopic, molecular biological, genetic and biochemical techniques.
