Arabidopsis root endoreduplication
Project description

Endoreduplicating cells duplicate their genome without mitosis. A major open question is how endoreduplicating cells are integrated into a developing organ. To address this question, a holistic systems biology-based approach will be applied to construct a 3-dimensional DNA ploidy cartogram of the root. The obtained map will be used to establish the significance of endoreduplication for correct root development.
