The goal of this project is the realization of a coating platform that allows to apply conformal thin films on individual particles and thus meets the needs and requirements for research and development of powders. This platform includes a modular, scalable Plasma Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposition (PE-ALD) reactor and a library of cheap PE-ALD conformal coating processes that enable cost reduction relative thermal ALD. In addition, to draw up a business plan for establishing a company that will offer this coating platform for academic and industrial R & D market will start scaling up to an industrial reactor for production.
