Project description

Novel terpenoid transporters from the medicinal plants Medicago truncatula and Catharanthus roseus will be identified and characterised. The aim is to exploit these to sequester and export terpenoids and other high-value small molecules in plant and microbial in vivo systems to enhance production yields. As an alternative we will develop and test ‘coiled coil peptides’.
