Project description

How is reward learning influenced by the unexpected occurrence or non-occurrence of reward? I aim to clarify the impact of reward prediction error (RPEs) on learning by a systems approach: i.e., by focusing on the functional connectivity of brain areas involved in reward (dopaminergic reward system), RPEs (anterior cingulate cortex), and event associations (posterior cortical areas).
