Project description

To effectively combat hiring discrimination, one needs to understand its underlying mechanisms. In the field of labour economics, two theoretical mechanisms are dominant in this respect: taste-based discrimination and statistical discrimination. We propose to test the empirical value of both theories, in a direct way and for multiple grounds for discrimination within one lab experimental framework.
