Project description
Creep feed was widely introduced to suckling piglets in pig husbandry to aid in the weaning transition. However, creep feed intake is still highly variable with limited impact on gastrointestinal development. This project takes the natural diet selection of piglets in the wild as a basis to evaluate the role of a structure- and fibre-rich diet on intestinal development.
