This research aims to define rules for the typographic design on maps, considering both user preferences and efficiency by a series of related tests. Both experts and novices will participate in the studies. Typographic design for two systems of lettering (Arabic and Latin) will be examined and conclusions will be drawn for making more efficient and qualitative maps for the users.
