Project description

In this project, we will provide new insights in average recurrence time,

recurrence pattern and recurrence mode of large megathrust earthquakes at

subduction zones by means of a paleoseismological study utilizing a large

series of sediment cores from lakes in three key regions: i.e. Chile, Sumatra

and Alaska.
