Project description

In both agricultural and horticultural crops the use of polyploids is mainly found in increased production (agronomic crops) or modification of interesting morphological traits (ornamental crops). This project aims to invest if the natural defense mechanism of clonal propagated horticultural plants can be increased by polyploidisation. As model plants apple and rose (Rosaceae family) are used.
