Project description
Three-dimensional meshes are getting highly detailed, requiring large amounts of storage. On top of visualization difficulties, this also causes memory and bandwidth problems. These problems will be tackled by investigating new scalable coding systems. We will handle representations and coding systems for both semi-regular and irregular meshes, taking into account the trade-off between coding efficiency and visual quality.
