The conference will provide an opportunity to present and reflect on the various social law developments affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the SADC region. It will point to areas for further (comparative) research, stimulate collaboration and networking amongst the participants and possible political action. Broad areas of social law affected by the pandemic:
- Labour law (antidiscrimination law, health and safety at work..) Social protection/social security (health care, survivor's pensions..)
