Redrafted, the starting point of the expedition, the research question of schools on the effects of school-specific educational innovations, the intense collaboration between schools (practitioners) and education researchers at practical scientific research into the effects of these innovations is the cornerstone. The research that allow schools and which are addressed with education researchers join three main themes: 1) Netherlands talented country: the maximum reach, 2) enjoy going to school: stay alert, and 3) Education is popular: staff pride. A fourth and overarching theme "Sustainable renew '' consistent with both the principles of the Expedition, and the principles underlying research proposal. Objective of the underlying research project is to examine the perceptions of teachers regarding the purpose and mission of science in general and education research in particular.
