Project description
In the face of evolving border securitization and restricted commodity flows (cattle smuggling in this case) across the Bangladesh-India border, this research primarily explores how borderland populations of Bangladesh make efforts for alternative livelihoods. The research analyses interlinkages between cattle smuggling and border violence. Additionally, it identifies the actors and networks around cattle smuggling and studies changing power relations.
