Project description

This doctoral research project is focused on optimizing the energy balance and at the same time controlling greenhouse gas emissions during the treatment of wastewaters with high ammonium concentration.

Three levels of research are distinguished:

- Application of innovative nitrogen removal processes

- Heat recovery from the biological reactors

- Minimization of N2O emissions
