The assessment of uncertainties helps in the comparison of alternative remediation measures, by showing the risk of non-compliance with regulations, the robustness of a decision against uncertainties, and where further investigations would be valuable to reduce the uncertainties. The aim of this research is to tackle these problems in the current practice of model-based predictions for urban wastewater systems (UWWSs).
