The project develops monitoring solutions for cables and foundations using fiber optic technologies to reduce OPEX costs of the Balance-of-Plant (BOP) for offshore wind. The focus is on distributed measurement techniques, especially Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Optimal Frequency Domain Reflectometry (OFDR).
