Project description

In this project, the techno-economic feasibility of conversion of bagasse and sugarcane agricultural residues into biofuels by means of fast pyrolysis, is assessed and tailored to the country-specific situation of Cuba. The purpose is to evaluate an integrated sugarcane processing/fast pyrolysis plant where biofuels production is effectively decoupled from its application in high efficiency boilers and diesel engines.
