The effect of GIT anatomy, microflora and breed on the digestibility and the capacity of the chicken to cope with extensive conditions will be studied. Based on those results we'll improve the economic yield of the chickens in the Venda-district in South Africa and the management will be optimized. This project will be part of the IUC-project in Limpopo about Food Security.
