Project description

Persistent phosphors are luminescent materials with the ability to emit light long after the excitation has ceased. The working mechanism of these materials is not well understood yet. This project contains the design and use of an automated, spectroscopic thermoluminescence setup. Based on the experimental results, a model (including energy level schemes) for the different classes of persistent phosphors will be constructed.
