Project description
 The identification of N-terminal proteoforms originating from alternative translation initiation in Salmonella highlights the complexity of the bacterial translation landscape. Distinct N-terminal sequences can impact protein structure, function, stability, interaction partners and localization. Using an optimized, multiplexed recombineering toolset, we precisely control and monitor the proteoform expression, advancing our understanding of their biological roles and functional relevance.
