Keywords
absorbent rare earths adsorption thermodynamics modeling mesoporous resins

Project description

Rare earth-specific ligands will be developed to functionalize stable mesoporous phenol or melamine based resins for the removal and recycling of rare earth ions from waste waters and effluents. Kinetic and thermodynamic studies of the separation behavior of these absorbent resins will be performed. A predictive software tool will be developed relating the model parameters with the absorbent properties.
