Project description

This research project examines the geographies of Islamic banking and financing. These services are inter alia characterized by the prohibition of investisting in products that are not allowed by the Shari'ah. Because this research starts from non-Western forms of advanced services, we shed light on global processes that have new been under investigated in world cities researh.
