Project description
In this PhD an integrated bioprocess for the production of novel biosurfactants will be researched. This means on the one hand trying to use waste streams as a substrate to impove the sustainability and economics of the production of biosurfactant and on the other hand improving the uniformity and productivity of new-to-nature biosurfactants. Both metabolic engineering, biocatalysis and a combination thereof will be used to obtain this.
