Tetranychus urticae acaricide resistance detoxification enzymes

Project description

This projects aims to study the role of metabolizing enzymes in resistance development of Tetranychus urticae. Gene expression profiles will identify candidate resistance genes. The role of identified genes will be studied by RNAi. Genes with a major effect will be functionally expressed. Finally, we will localize detoxification ‘hotspots’ in the mite body by in situ hybridization.
