Project description

Existing composite-manufacturing technologies will be utilised to produce quality glass- and/or carbon- Fibre Reinforced Vitrimer Composites (FRVCs). Epoxy-based vitrimers will be used as matrices reinforced with continuous and/or short fibres. State-of-the-art methodologies will be applied to perform in-depth characterization of FRVCs; mechanical characterisation, temperature dependent behaviour, evaluation of re-processability (thermoforming, healing, mechanical recycling) and quantification of residual properties after reprocessing.
