Project description
Cognitive control relies on context-specific skills that need to be learned. However, how people acquire these functions, and whether different levels of control are learned sequentially or simultaneously, remains unclear. Using new behavioral experiments and computational modeling, this project will investigate how individuals dynamically learn in multi-layered environments where various levels of abstraction are differentially reinforced.
