Project description

Running is one of the most popular physical activities. Gait retraining is considered a viable strategy to improve performance and prevent injury. This research project examines the effect of duty factor on leg-spring stiffness, energy conversion, muscle activity and running economy using kinetic analyses, OpenSim musculoskeletal (predictive) modeling and non-negative matrix optimizations.
