Project description

Within this PhD project, patients with headache will be classified into the appropriate categories. Patients presenting with headache of cervical myofascial origin will be treated in a randomized controlled trial with standard therapy, or this same therapy supplemented with dry needling. This will allow us to investigate the additional effect of dry needling on this type of headache.

Furthermore, the modalities of dry needling will be investigated through a systematic review and subsequent Delphi study, to potentially reach consensus and develop guidelines on the best way to apply dry needling.
