In the recycling of mixed polymers, compatibilizers are often used to improve the adhesion between the composing polymers. However, it is unknown to what degree these compatibilizers remain functional upon continued (re-)recycling of the blend. It is the goal of the project to predictively relate degradation of the matrix and the compatibilizing agent (CA) to the retained functionality of the CA.
