Project description
Proper monitoring can restrict agricultural land conversion (ALC) and direct urban expansion to desired ways that protect fertile agricultural lands. This project aimed at monitoring ALC induced by urban sprawl and transportation in Northeast Iran ending up with different scenarios of urban expansion and transportation. The study showed how urban sprawl and transportation modes can result in different ALC patterns.
