Project description

To realize respect for human rights in the conservation of protected areas, the research will analyze advantages and challenges of a right-based approach to consercation. Secondly, it will analyze legislation and court cases on three procedural human rights in protected areas conservation in the EU and China. Thirdly, mechanisms on how to implement a rights-based approach will be discussed.
