Project description

UGent has developed a technology for an axial flux electric machine. The prototype achieves an efficiency that is around 10% p higher compared to the IE3 standard. Moreover, the machine is lightweight and has a number of other interesting features. The technology is protected by patents in which 3 independent inventions are described. Moreover, there is an important amount of know-how linked to the technology. We were already able to identify three possible applications in the market. The main objective of this project is to be able to finance our activities within the framework of an arrangement made with a potential licensee
