This project investigates European media discourses on China’s soft power with multi-method research design (1) news output about China’s soft power in European media through content analysis and framing analysis (2) unravel via in-depth interviews how news about China’s soft power is
constructed by European journalists (3) focus group study on audience to investigate recipe perceptions of China’s soft power.
