Project description
To unravel how shoot growth is orchestrated by the SAM, three genes that are co-expressed in the shoot apex were studied, H1L, GIF1 and PLA1. Using spatial transcriptomics, I show that the hormonal balance is disturbed in the pla1 mutant. h1l mutants show a higher drought tolerance and the h1lGIF1_OE mutant has enhanced growth under control and drought conditions.
