Project description

Wood is one of the most important renewable resources, for construction, as a source of energy and material for pulp and paper industry. The project aims at resolving the role of two genes, DIRIGENT and PCBER, which are highly expressed during wood formation. To resolve their role, RNAi down-regulated transgenic lines will be analyzed by a combination of transcritp and metabolite profiling.
