Project description
Due to climate change, maximum temperatures are increasing, causing heat stress in pigs. This can lead to animal welfare issues and economic losses. This project investigates the effects of heat stress on animal health, welfare, and production parameters and develops a heat plan for the Flemish pig industry by enhancing practical knowledge and providing effective, technically, and economically feasible measures.
