Project description

Inhibiting angiogenesis deprives the tumor from its nutrient supply, slowing down tumor growth and meastasis. PlGF is only involved in the pathogenic angiogenesis, therefore blokking PlGF does not influence healthy organs. The goal of our study is assessing PlGF in the pathogenesis of HCC and testing angiogenesis-inhibition through PlGF-antibodies as a valable therapy against HCC.
