Project description
The mission of the LOWATTER project team is to make a significant contribution to energy use and safety risk reduction during domestic hot water (DHW) production, storage and distribution by
reducing the tapwater heating temperature, by minimizing and controling the Legionella pneumophila risk and by energy use reduction.
The ambition is to establish a spin-off: a European company that markets a domestic hot water heating controller and provides case specific knowledge through consultancy on either disinfection or energy savings (with a Legionella pneumophila predicting simulation model), based on UGent proprietary know-how wherein our technology has a unique selling proposition.
