Project description
 

In this project fire tests and numerical simulations thereof (CFD: Computational Fluid Dynamics) are analysed. Additional CFD simulations are performed, of scenarios that are not tested experimentally. Based on the results of the analysis an assessment framework is elaborated, expressing the fire safety level as function of fire protection measures, in the context of elderly homes. This assessment framework is useful for Flemish regulations for this matter.
