Project description
Globally, sustainable aquaculture is urgently needed to meet the rising demand for aquatic nutrients, especially fatty acids. This PhD research studies fatty acid biosynthesis in primary aquatic consumers and scales up marine copepod cultures for larval fish feed by optimizing rearing conditions. It concludes with a copepod feeding trial, assessing the health status of the test fish.
