Project description

This project studies the acts of translation that subtend transnational exchanges of misinformation across Romantic periodical networks. The project specifically studies the ethical norms that govern translators as they relay hoaxes. Operating to a transdisciplinary approach rich in theoretical and methodological innovation, the project examines and recreates network effects in its corpus to assess the transnationality exhibited by late-Romantic print culture and the impact of disruptive technologies.
