Project description

Analysis of the available sequence data for e.g. apple showed that ribosome-inactivating proteins are expressed, especially under stress conditions. This project aims at a detailled study of these proteins to check whether they really possess ribosome-inactivating activity. In addition, their involvement in plant defense will be evaluated.
