Project description

THis research project aims to investigate the impact of transnational activities on violent politics and political violence. It aims specifically to understand the reterritorialization of these transnational practices in conflict zones and zones of political violence. Taking a multi-method and comparative approach this research project aims to overcome a methodological nationalism in conflict studies, while at the same time continuing the research focus on the highly localized impacts of conflict and political violence. THe research aims to focus on armed actors, and aims to explore different dimensions including political economy, the cultural politics of violence, and armed governance.
