Project description
This PhD research, at the intersection of construction history and digital humanities, questions the
architectural historiographical preoccupation with the modern movement in relation to armed conflict.
Complementary prisms of the military and veteran’s perspective are addressed by digitally supported
case studies of (post-)military building sites in Belgian context, that define a more nuanced and
comprehensive cross section of the subject.
