Project description

When introducing the most recent learning objectives, 21st century skills are given an important place in secondary education. At this moment many teachers are trying to figure out how to teach this. Evaluation tools that can be used are also insufficiently available. Recent research has shown that using design thinking (DT) as a didactic tool is a promising method for developing 21st century skills in young people.

The aim of this project is to develop and implement professional development activities and additional supporting teaching materials for teachers, so that they are able to develop, implement and evaluate DT activities aimed at developing 21st century skills in their classroom.  Important criteria include: effective, generic and easily adaptable to specific classroom context and efficient in terms of time investment (phygital approach). Implementation takes place both in teacher training and through further training programs.
