Project description

This research will focus on fertilization strategies and knowledge from organic science and practice mapping and optimizing them in function of two objectives:

  1. solving the bottlenecks that organic farming experiences in the implementation of the stricter phosphorus fertilization standards in MAP5;
  2. updating and building up the organic matter content in the soil below the current one fertilization standards, through an optimization of fertilization strategies in organic farming and a further application of the most promising strategies in conventional agriculture.

This research provides input for good organic farming practices and the construction of soil organic matter in organic and conventional agriculture.
