This core funding will be used to sustain research efforts in the epidemiology of chronic diseases, most likely in the specific domain of the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases. With the help of a colleague with particular interest in this field, the allocated funds will enable the recruitment of a scientific collaborator to pursue a PhD (fellowship).
