Project description

The conference will be a 4-day meeting with up to 100 participants from all over Africa involved in family medicine training. It will be a continuation of the conferences in Kampala (2008) and Rustenburg (2009) on improving the quality of family medicine training in Sub Saharan Africa. The main focus of this conference will be on bridging the gap between individual and community care utilizing the strategy of COPC². Community Oriented Primary Care as part of the undergraduate medical training and postgraduate family medicine training, research, monitoring the impact on the community and policy making will be the leading themes during these 4 days. South-South cooperation, sharing of experiences and materials, network building are the main pillars in these 4 days.
