The overall aim of this project is to demonstrate the possibilities and applications of transgene-free, CRISPR/Cas-based technologies in vegetatively propagated ornamental plants and fruit crops, and to implement them within Flemish breeding companies. To this end, protocols and techniques will be developed that produce plants falling within the category of NGT1 plants.
